      Full time independent Legal Nurse Consultant –Owner/operator specializing in

profile complex cases including, toxic torts, medical malpractice, personal injury,
wrongful death, class action suits, worker’s compensation for both plaintiff and
defense.  I know all the elements of a malpractice case. I have taken many college

      Full Time Registered Nurse working in an Outpatient Surgicenter setting as a
circulater. Duties include starting Intravenous lines, prepping the appropriate
surgical site. Sedating the patient before the procedures and assisting with biopsies
and all surgical procedures. Plastic Surgery(transumbilical breast augmentation,
abdominoplasty, blepheroplasty, rhinoplasty, liposuction and all types of facelifts .
Setup of Laser Equipment) Endoscopy,Cystoscopy Laser treatment. Orthopedic
Surgery ACL repair hips, knees Responsible for documentation and charting of all
intraoperative procedures. Process and label any biopsies or abnormal specimens to
Pathology. Making sure the O..R .Team is keeping sterile technique during the entire
Surgical Procedure. Anticipate what the Surgeon may need for the appropriate case

      ST. JOHN’S MEDICAL CENTER
      Full Time  position working as a Registered Nurse in the Gastrointestinal
Laboratory for a 500 bed Hospital. Responsibilities included administration and
documentation of Sedatives prior and during G.I. Procedures. Patient monitoring
during sedation and documenting vital signs, pulse oximetry, asses level of
consciousness using Glascow Coma Scale. Management of Sedation and related
complications IE., upper airway obstruction, Cardiac complications or the reversal
of Sedation. Performed complex tasks with the Physician including Endoscopic
Retrograde cholyangiocorpography , esophogeal dilitation, Percutaneous
Endoscopic gastrostomy placement, biopsy and polypectomy. Assisted in
cauterizing and injecting Esophageal varices with Epinephrine. Labeling and
Documentation of Pathology specimens for evaluation.

      HEALTHSOUTH SURGICENTER
      Full Time Registered Nurse working as a Circulater in a Outpatient Surgical
Center setting. Duties included Interviewing the Patient Pre-Op, Documenting a Pre-
Op checklist. Starting I.V.’s positioning the Patient for correct Surgical procedure.
Keeping a detailed Intra-Operative report of the Surgery making sure sterile
technique is used by the surgical team in the O.R. Suite. Surgical procedures
included Orthopedic Surgery, ACL repair, Total Knee and Hip replacements, Hand ,
Elbow and Shoulder surgery.  Laparoscopy, Plastic Surgery, Breast Augmentation,
Rhinoplasty, Blepheroplasty. Trained to provide Conscious Sedation for special
procedures such as working with IDET for pain patients,Endoscopy, Colonoscopy,
Radiologic procedures and Bronchoscopy.
      
      
JANUARY 1996 to JULY 1998
      PREMIER ENDOSCOPY OF THE DESERT
      Full Time Registerd Nurse working in a Outpatient Endoscopy Center. Primary
procedure nurse assisting Physicians with Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Esophogeal
Dilitation, Biopsy, Polypectomy and PEG tube placement, Ink marking and complex
Endoscopic Procedures. Responcible for getting the patient ready for the procedure
such as starting a I.V. procuring appropriate consent and release forms checking
NPO status etc. Make sure patient understands all post procedure follow up
instructions answer any questions from the patient and has copies of instructions.
Follow up with the patient via telephone to check post procedure status.

      Menifee Valley Medical Center
      
Full-time Registered Nurse in Recovery Room(PACU).  Responsible for
re
covering Post-Op Surgical patients. Types of surgeries include Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm Laparoscopies, Orthopedic Surgery and all General Surgery cases. Duties
included monitoring the patients VS, Pulse Ox, ECG,RR until PACU criteria has been
met such as documenting the Glascow Coma Scale and constantly asses the patient
for any complications such as bleeding, airway obstruction, malignant hyperthermia,
allergic reactions and be ready to react accordingly to any emergencey in the
Recovery Room.

 Full-time Registered Nurse in PACU caring for in-house surgical patients,
including Orthopedic, Vascular and Plastic Surgery. Responcible for recovering Post-
Op Surgical Patients. Duties include monitoring of patients VS, Pulse Ox, ECG,RR
and Glascow Coma Scale untill awake or stable. Observe for any changes in
mentation or Surgical/Anesthesia complications, airway obstruction, bleeding .
Document patients status from the time they arrive in the RR untill discharge to floor
when stable where a report of the Surgical Procedure and PACU stay is verbally
given to the floor nurse.

  Full-time Registered Nurse in ICU/CCU clinical areas in a 300 bed Community
Hospital with a very sick patient po
pulation. Duties included all aspects of patient
care assessment and intervention. Maintained hemodynamic monitoring via Swan
Ganz line ,Arterial line (i.e., Cardiac Output Pulmonary Capillary Wedge Pressure
Central Venous Pressure and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps and core temperature.
Recovered/Cared for patients after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft and Major Trauma..
Ventilator weaning if appropriate Responsible for planning, organizing and caring for
the critically ill patient. Interpretation of complex lab results/tests which are
communicated to the patients physicians.  Monitor Vital Signs, Pulse Oximetery,
Telemetry, Intake and Output of fluid documentation. Administration and titration of
complex medications and dosages as prescribed by the physician. Dealt with
complex family issues related to the patients condition and future prognosis and

Full-time Registered Nurse predominantly working in Neurosurgical
ICU/Cardiothoracic Surgery. Also worked in other specialty areas. Pediatric
Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Intensive Care in a 750+ bed teaching Hospital.
Responsible for the planning, organizing and implementation of care for the most
critical patients. Duties include all aspects of nuero-comprimised patients from
head trauma; gunshot wounds, motorcycle accidents, stroke, cerebral hemorrhage
and all neurosurgery non-elective and elective. Duties included monitoring and
documentation of VS,ECG interpretation,
hemodynamic monitoring Swan-Ganz, A-
lines ICP, Ventilator care, Chest Tubes, multiple Intravenous medications with
complex drip rates. Dealing with all entities of the healthcare team Respiratory
Therapy, Dysphagia Team, Rehabilitation. Anticipate any post-surgical
complications, Hypothermia, Intra cranial Pressure increase, decreased LOC,
constantly evaluate the patients neurological status with the Glascow Coma Scale,
Babinski Reflex, and Dolls Eye test. Dealt with complex issues with the family such
as organ donation and speaking with nurse liaison for possible implementation of
protocols for Organ/Tissue donation.
